Jacques Bouvet et Cie. was founded in 1996 by Jacques Bouvet.  Mr. Bouvet who is of French ancestry was born and raised in the island country of Mauritius. His fabric collection has a distinctive regard for color, texture and fiber. Benefiting from comprehensive experience in this industry, he has formed a strong and well-respected organization with showrooms in all major markets in the United States, Mexico and Lima, Peru.

His collection may be described as “transitional” bridging the gap between the traditional and contemporary.  His prints seen on both linen and cotton have been inspired by 18th and 19th Century French and Italian documents.  The cotton collections have a sense of subtle ethnicity, their bold and colorful stripes in exquisite colors. The extensive matelassé assortment adds great depth to his collection.  They range from very traditional themes to exciting new look iridescent venues.  He offers a wide array of beautiful textures as well as a variety of chenilles and novelty fabrics.  An assortment of silks and sheers completes his elegant collection.
